Peter Wickström Band is a constellation of young musicians who aim to communicate clarity through music. “We want to focus on something of real value that can inspire people”. PWB decided to leave romantic ideas and lyrics behind to create a cultural platform of clarity and stability, something that’s important to them.

Digital CD release PWB wants to step closer to their audience. Since their album is licensed under Creative commons, it is possible to spread the music through downloads. Anyone interested in using the music for commercial purposes is welcome to contact PWB.

Grass root movement The Band finances their projects through donations. Their primary idea is to engage the audience in the creative process. There’s no longer a line between the listener and the band. Everyone can take part and support PWB through donations. If you enjoy what they do and want to hear more in the future, you are warmly invited to contribute! There is a suggested donation of $5 to $15 USD when downloading the album Clear Sky.

New Musical Roles PWB often uses the groove as a fundamental ground for sound landscapes. Bands which are groove-based often use bass and drums to build a solid ground. PWB has chosen another way.

Peter plays most of the riffs on the acoustic guitar while Ivar sounds a kind of beat box on  trumpet. William’s responsibility is to open the eyes of the band by forming a musical space around the groove. This creates a whole new sound with abundant space for improvisation.

Balanced View The Balanced View teaching has been an inspiration during the process of making Clear Sky. It allowed the band to act from clarity. What used to be hard work turned into restful moments and clear decisions. Less stress – More fun!

Clarity instead of old romantic ideas PWB made the decision to leave old romantic ideas and stories aside. They want to focus on clarity and stability and show something new to the cultural world. People will never be happy dwelling on past events or on future moments that hold out the promise of a good life. People’s true essence is in the restful present moment. The musical world has enough sad ballads. PWB want to share something else!

Between 19 and 22 years old The members of PWB are all between 19 and 22 years old. Age has no impact on the creative flow and engagement of the group.
